The second Goshen Conference on Religion and Science took place in April 2002, with George F.R. Ellis as its keynote speaker. George Francis Rayner Ellis, FRS, Hon. FRSSAf (born 11 August 1939), is emeritus distinguished professor of complex systems in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
